John Darnielle, the principle of The Mountain Goats, earned a reputation through the release of rough tape demos throughout the 90’s and actually took a little flack when he gave that up for traditional studio recording. But long-term fans of The Mountain Goats will get the best of both worlds on the new release from the band, All Eternals Deck, due March 29th on Merge.
While supplies last, each pre-ordered CD & LP of All Eternals Deck will include a hand-colored cassette entitled All Survivors Pack featuring demo versions and two non-album tracks, available only via the Merge store and select independent record stores.
For vinyl fans, colored versions of the LP will be mixed in and randomly distributed with the black vinyl pressing. All vinyl copies also include a link to a digital download of the album.
