Over the last decade, Stephin Merritt and his project The Magnetic Fields have been happily releasing albums on Nonesuch, making it easy to forget that it was Merge Records that released The Magnetic Fields’ classic 69 Love Songs as well as many other releases from the 90’s. Well, the relationship that spawned one of the best albums of all time will once again be in business together, as The Magnetic Fields are returning to Merge for a yet to be titled release in 2012.
