The Creators Project launched in 2010 in a collaborative effort from Vice and Intel to support leading and emerging artists that are pushing the boundaries of creative expression through technology. Or, so says their press release. We all remember their work at this year’s Coachella, as they collaborated for intense live performances with Arcade Fire and Animal Collective. Well, The Creators Project is getting back to their roots with a week-long event in NY’s DUMBO neighborhood.
Biggest among the week-long festivities that will feature art installations, musical performances, and other creative offerings is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O’s “psycho-opera, an assault on the tragic joys of youth. Directed by Adam Rapp, the work will be produced by The Studio, a multimillion-dollar global studio launched this year by The Creators Project that produces and distributes works from artists representing a cross-section of creative disciplines.”
No dates or other acts have been announced, but we will keep you informed with any developments on this pretty exciting event.
