The Clientele’s Alasdair MacLean is also in Amor de Dias, shares album info and MP3

Fans of The Clientele know that the future of the group seems pretty ambiguous. Some will say that the band is done, others will say that the band just doesn’t know what the future holds. Fans of The Clientele will also be happy to know that this uncertain future doesn’t mean they have to be without their beloved Alasdair MacLean. He has a new project coming out in May on Merge Records. Joy!

A collaboration recorded over the last three years with Lupe Núñez-Fernández of Pipas, the group is going by Amor de Días. The project is being described as multifaceted arrangements and vocal harmonies with harps, bouzoukis, strings, recorders, and brass over the core of dual Spanish guitars and the dream imagery of their bilingual lyrics. So, it’s not The Clientele 2.

Street of the Love of Days will be out on May 17th via Merge. Check out “Bunhill Fields” below.
