It’s been a few years since we’ve heard from former Simian members Simon Lord and Theo Keating, aka The Black Ghosts, but they’ll return in June with a new album on Southern Fried Records. When Animals Stare is the name of the album and “Water Will Find a Way” is the lead single from this anticipated sophomore album. Debuting today on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, “Water Will Find a Way” is more of an emotional electro-pop track than the band’s formerly glitchy techno jams. I think the track shows the evolution in electronic music since 2007 as well, as more bands move away from the banger type song (a la Justice/Boys Noize/Digitalism), we’re starting to get a more synesthetic approach between the song writing and production.
