While we all eagerly await the first sample from St. Vincent’s upcoming album, Strange Mercy, today Annie Clark gave us everything but a first single: a tour, a cover, and a tracklisting.
Above you can see the cover, which basically looks like a mouth biting through latex, and the tracklisting of the effort reveals an album of 11 songs, with no drastic left turns in the song-title department. Strange Mercy, her third album, will be released on September 13th on 4AD.
The St. Vincent tour begins with a stray show in New York, but really kicks of in Minneapolis on October 2nd. The trip will last for a little more than a month, hitting most major cities and seeming to have an opening for San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival.
