Sleigh Bells’ stock continues to rise as Treats spreads to wider and wider audiences, but that doesn’t keep the two-piece from looking forward. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Derek E. Miller and Alexis Krauss revealed that they were forced to leave a lot of work abandoned to begin the endless touring of their debut and are anxious to release the follow-up.

“We start tracking June 25th, we have a bunch of demos already,” Miller revealed, adding, “we’ll probably put it out in early 2012.”

As for what to expect, Miller noted, “I think the new stuff differs from Treats in that emotionally, it is a really heavy record.” “I think people are definitely going to recognize it as a Sleigh Bells record,” Krauss added.
