Pitchfork reports that Sigur Rós are in the early stages of recording their sixth studio album, due for release sometime in 2010. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to last year’s Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust will reportedly be “more ambient” and “more out-there” than their earlier work. Sigur Rós are recording the album in their studio in Iceland. Onethirtybpm will stay updated with more information as it becomes available.
