Beats Per Minute has paired with Los Angeles-based Planetary Group PR to offer a free 12” copy of The Ocean EP from Swedish producer Ludvig Parment (aka Saturday, Monday). This is a limited edition pressing, as only 300 copies have been made. Please read below for full contest rules and eligibility.
Rules: To become eligible to win a copy of this 12”, we’re asking for you to describe the oddest experience that you’ve ever had at a concert. Now, if you tell us about the time that you saw Jimi Hendrix sipping champagne with Jay-Z, then we’re going to know that some sort of psychotropic substance was probably involved. So please keep your entries hallucination-free. No secondhand stories, only personal experiences. Odd coincidences are welcome. The winner will be chosen by the staff at Beats Per Minute from all received entries.
Duration: The contest will run from today, May 10th until Friday, May 24th. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 27th.
Send all entries to editor@beatsperminute.com, with the subject heading “Saturday, Monday Vinyl Giveaway.”
Saturday, Monday is the moniker of Swedish producer Ludvig Parment. For his latest track “The Ocean,” he joined together with vocalist Julia Spada to create a wintry mix of minimalist beats and pristine pop production. Blending orchestral strings with synth-pop tendencies, Parment brings out the beating heart from within the music, and “The Ocean” feels majestic and intimate simultaneously, with the inherent inclusivity of the best pop songs of the past few decades.
