This morning it was announced that Radiohead would be adding to their much-anticipated performance on the season premier of Saturday Night Live on September 24th by also playing The Colbert Report on the 26th.
Not only that, but it seems the band have decided that, having brought that gear all that way, they should play some actual shows too. The band have announced a pair of performances at New York’s relatively intimate 3500-capacity Roseland Ballroom for the 28th and 29th. This marks the first pre-announced public performance by Radiohead since the release of this year’s The King of Limbs. Tickets are bound to go fast, but you’d better wake up and try to get them next Monday September 26th at 10am from Ticketmaster.
A full tour is still a dream at this point, but this may add some credence to the rumours that Radiohead will be headlining next year’s double Coachellas.
UPDATE: It appears Four Tet will be supporting Radiohead on these dates, which makes it even more enticing. Kieran Hebden just tweeted:
