Coachella decided to go for back-to-back weekends. Lollapalooza added a second festival in Chili. Now, Pitchfork Music Festival will have a second go around with an October edition of their beloved festival… in Paris!
Yes, Paris (France) will host a two-day affair co-curated by Pitchfork and Pitchfork artist/friend Bon Iver on October 28-29. Besides Bon Iver headlining the second day, the festival has an initial lineup that includes Cut Copy, Wild Beasts, Jens Lekman, Pantha du Prince, and Kathleen Edwards. Pitchfork promises a one-of-a-kind event at “La Grande Halle de la Villette, a stunning 19th century glass and metal structure that stands in the center of the Parc de la Villette, the city’s largest public cultural park. Over the course of the two-day event, more than 20 bands and a multitude of DJs will take over the 5,000-capacity venue.”
