Classic jam band Phish has announced some tour dates for the Summer of 2009 in this awesome video (for the non-Phishheads out there, that song is “Punch You In The Eye”). This tour is their first since 2004, when the Vermont legends “broke up”. However they really felt like playing together again, so they are doing so. Surely, numerous bootlegs will appear from these and the previously announced shows at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.
Also to note is the fact that there aren’t any dates during the Bonnaroo Festival (which I personally will be attending). Rumors were that Phish and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band would headline. Too good to be true?
And for those of you hardcore Phans, the group is releasing a seven DVD set of the 1996 Clifford Ball festival where the band played over three days with 9 hours of music and six different sets. As a bonus, the jam they had on a flatbed truck during the late night hours is included, a behind the scenes, and wristbands from the show will also be included. Buy at Dry Goods.
And the dates of course, after the jump.
