In honor of the recent reissues of Paul McCartney’s classic McCartney and McCartney II albums, the former Beatle is hosting a design competition with the winner getting his or her piece exhibited in a London Gallery.
Designers in the contest are asked to create a graphic piece inspired by either “Maybe I’m Amazed” from McCartney or “Coming Up” from McCartney II. The winning design will be hand-selected by Paul McCartney before being signed and framed in high-quality lithograph and exhibited in the “Idea Generation” gallery in London. Also, the winner will receive global exposure by being featured on Paul McCartney’s website and Facebook page. They will also win some unspecified McCartney goodies and $1,000. The deadline for submissions is August 16, 2011, with voting between August 17th and 23rd. The winner will be announced on September 14th, 2011.
