There have been rumors circulating for weeks now on Primal Scream’s Facebook and Twitter accounts concerning a possible new album, and it looks like those rumors have finally been confirmed. More Light, the band’s tenth studio album, is set to be released on May 6th via the Primal Scream’s own First International label.
This morning, Tim Burgess played the first single from the album on BBC 6Music. The song, appropriately titled “2013”, features wildly frenetic saxophone runs and Kevin Shields on guitar. The video for “2013” below appears to be a radio edit as the actual song seems to run over nine minutes long and this version runs a scant four minutes and change–though I’m sure we’ll get the full version soon enough.
