Fact: Yo La Tengo are one of the most creative bands around.
Fact: Yo La Tengo like to have fun.
Fact: There might be a new Yo La Tengo out on March 10th.
Now, the key word is ‘might’. The information we have is that the Condo Fucks will be releasing an album called Fuckbook. Now how does this relate? Yo La Tengo has played under the name before. Adding to this are the A-Bones, some Brooklyn garage rockers. Also, it could be a play on Yo La Tengo’s 1990 effort Fakebook. Plus, a new song was included in Matador’s Intended Play sampler for the fall. It sounds like an extremely rough version of “Watch Out For Me, Ronnie” off I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass. Matador has the album already available for pre-sale through their site.
Let’s see how this all plays out. Hopefully, we can have a traditional Yo La Tengo Album of the Year.
For now, they are playing those famous Hanukkah shows and a New Year’s Eve show.
