New Springsteen album entitled Working on a Dream out on January 27th

As we reported earlier Bruce Springsteen’s new album will be out in January. This has now been confirmed on Springsteen’s official website. It will be called Working on a Dream and will be released on the 27th of January by Columbia Records. The album is Springsteen’s second album in a row with The E Street Band and it will be the follow up to 2007’s Magic. Working on a Dream is produced and mixed by Magic-producer Brendan O’Brien, who also produced 2002’s The Rising and 2005’s Devils & Dust.

The album will contain twelve tracks, including the title track “Working on a Dream” which was premiered at an Obama rally during the presidential campaign. The album will also include two bonus tracks, one of them is “A Night with the Jersey Devil”, which Springsteen gave away as a Halloween gift earlier (and now has been taken down). Working on a Dream was recorded during the breaks from Springsteen’s world tour last year and Springsteen hopes that “Working on a Dream has caught the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we’ve ever done” and describes the recording like this: “All the songs were written quickly, we usually used one of our first few takes, and we all had a blast making this one from beginning to end.”
