You’ll have to bear with us on this one, since the details are scarce, but it appears that English dance duo Simian Mobile Disco will be returning with a new album in May.
The duo’s website was today relaunched as a single page that reads “SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO – UNPATTERNS – 14/05/12.” That seems to pretty much say all we know: that they are set to release a new album called Unpatterns on May 14th.
Also on the site a new song called “Fourteenth Principles” is streaming, but that’s also a bit of a teaser since it comes in at just under two minutes and seems to be more an intro track than anything. Hear that on SMD’s site or at Soundcloud.
More info on Unpatterns will follow as it unfolds.
UPDATE: The album will be coming out through Wichita Recordings. Below you can see some pre-album tour dates, Unpatterns‘ album cover and the track list – it turns out “Fourteenth Principles” will not be on the album, and the first official single will be “Seraphim,” due out April 9th.
