File this under rumors, but news appears to be breaking that Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy has a new set ready for release on October 4th. This shouldn’t take anyone by surprise, as Will Oldham is one of the more prolific artists alive today. But, still, a new proper Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy set is something to celebrate and anticipate, and this news of an impending release is pretty awesome.
No word on whether the above artwork is the album art, but it was first posted by LEO Weekly and later perpetuated by You Ain’t No Picasso. LEO Weekly claims that the announcement is coming on Tuesday, so we will know soon whether this is real or fake, but a new Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy album seems to me like a weird thing to make up.
Update: Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy indeed has an album coming out on October 4th via Drag City. Titled Wolfroy Goes To Town, the collection will feature 10 tracks, which we have listed below.
