The headline for this story might as well read: “Jeff Mangum plans 2011 world domination.” The prolific singer/songwriter recently launched a new website for Neutral Milk Hotel, touting the release of a career spanning vinyl box set, including the release of fifteen previously unreleased tracks.
Set for release on November 22nd, the box set will include On Avery Island, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, Everything Is EP, a 7″ picture disk for “Holland, 1945,” a 7″ with two unreleased tracks, a 7″ that includes two live tracks, and the Ferris Wheel On Fire EP, comprised of all new material. Pre-orders are available now, the entire set will sell for $88. Downloads of the unreleased material will be available separately from a Bandcamp page on November 22nd as well. Interested in one-of-a-kind Mangum art? You can also order drawings from the site, a mere $15 dollars will net you hand drawn, unique work. Mangum’s also launched a half-hour radio program which is said to be “updated regularly.” The first program can be heard here. (via)
