Yeah, this is actually what the press release for the new Shabazz Palaces album, Black Up, says. I… I won’t pretend to act like I know what it is talking about. I will tell you that the single, “An Echo From the Hosts that Profess Infinitum,” is as intriguing as anything I have heard recently, kind of reminding me of both Salem and Gang Gang Dance. You know, that kind of dark/psychedelic/creepy/ vibe, yet still being rather pleasant to hear. I like using my brain and my ears at the same time. Maybe you do, too.
