On Dodos’ official site they’re giving away a free track called “Drone 2” (which you can get below). The song does not appear on their upcoming album No Color and is actually a Meric solo cut, possibly an outtake from the recording of the album.
It doesn’t really sound like Dodos. At all. What it is in fact is is ten minutes of tuneful walls of white noise and feedback. Hence the name “Drone 2.” If this is any indication of the sound of their upcoming album then colour me intrigued (and a little excited).
