We don’t write about Manchester Orchestra enough around here, but long-time readers of the site will know that we’re huge fans of Brand New and Manchester Orchestra are friends and former tourmates of theirs (as well as being an awesome band in their own right).
On this new song “Virgin” it seems that Brand New’s influence has rubbed off on the Georgians. They’ve definitely become even darker than they were on their last album, Mean Everything To Nothing, and they’re incorporating children’s singing to chilling effect.
“Virgin” is taken from Manchester Orchestra’s upcoming album Simple Math, due out on May 10th through Favorite Gentleman. Listen below.
