Although calling “Words I Say” a new track might be a bit of a white lie, this is the first time we’ve heard the Justin Timberlake track without tags. It’s also not the pop smash that FutureSex/LoveSounds became known for, but it’s a smooth and relaxed R&B-style jam. No word on a third album from Timberlake, and “Words I Say” is not likely to be a preview of anything to come, but it’s still nice to have some new material from one of this generation’s greatest pop stars.
