The latest release on seminal dance label DFA Records features none other than former Pulp frontman and solo-entrepreneur Jarvis Cocker. “Synchronize” is just a taste of the forthcoming full length debut from Discodeine, a collaboration between French producers Pilooski and Pentile.
Although the dance floor might be last place you’d expect to find Mr. Cocker, “Synchronize” is an extremely catchy tune, sure to make fans of both dance records and Cocker’s catalogue tap their feet unceasingly. The piano notes and strings layered beneath Cocker’s incredible vocals combine for a rather powerful single, straddling the between pop perfection and dance floor anthem.
