Narnack Records and Greatminds Records recently teamed up to offer a special collection of songs to benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and the work they are doing to help rebuild Haiti after the 2010 catastrophic earthquake. The project of the compilation is simple: songs from classic Southern Californian artists performed by contemporary musicians from the Los Angeles underground. Below we have the full tracklist of the Beat L.A. compilation, which includes No Age, Best Coast’s Bobb Bruno, Devon Williams, and Slang Chickens. Also, enjoy a taste of the comp with Crystal Antlers’ (who have a pretty great album called Two-Way Mirror coming out) take on “I Slept In An Arcade,” originally by Black Randy & The Metrosquad. Enjoy!
