The initial fear when hearing Big Troubles’ quite good first single, “Misery,” was that the band might sound too much like Slumberland label-mates The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. That fear can be (at least temporarily) put to rest with second taste “Sad Girls,” which takes a bouncy, Smith Westerns meets Girls turn to pop perfection.
