Our favorite kaleidoscopic indie poppers Animal Collective are poised to release a 10″ single next month with “Applesauce”, a highlight from September’s Centipede Hz as the A-side. On the flip, they’re planning on releasing a studio recording of “Crimson,” which was a staple of their 2011 live sets. It sports an atypically subdued Avey Tare vocal take and the gummy dubby production that marked Hz, though in notably less insistent fashion.
Today the track premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC radio show, and we have a rip of it below for listening and downloading pleasure.
