We’re six weeks away from the release of Arctic Monkeys’ new album AM (September 9th via Domino) and judging from the two singles we’ve heard so far – “Do I Wanna Know?” and “R U Mine?” – it seems the BPM favourites are on course for another great album. Not only is “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” the third question-titled song, but the third extremely enjoyable song to be aired from their fifth LP. Built around a thudding rhythm section the song’s theatrics come in the form of additional strings rather than guitars this time, and Alex Turner’s lyrics are on-point as usual.
