Mayer Hawthorne is taking his time in following up his 2009 Stones Throw debut album A Strange Arrangement. But to keep fans sated for the time being he’s recorded six covers and is giving them away free via the Stones Throw website as an EP called Impressions. Most of the six tracks were receorded with his live band The County. The covers are of bands ranging from relative unknowns like The Festivals to out and out classics like Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky.”
