When we reported that the new Mastodon album was nearly complete, we didn’t expect to have more news quite this fast. But, surprises aren’t a bad thing, especially when you are talking about one of the best metal bands on the planet.
Mastodon announced today that their new record, expected later this year, will be titled The Hunter. The follow-up to 2009’s Crack The Skye also has a few song titles already named: “Blasteroids,” “The Octopus Has No Friends,” “Stargasm,” and “Curl of the Burl.” Though there is not any more concrete information on this effort, this should be enough to spark your imagination.
