If you follow Los Campesinos! on Facebook or, better yet, read their blog(s), you would know that they like to involve their fans in everything from yard sales to daily meals. And this kind of full disclosure is continuing with their fourth full-length album, which, according to frontman Gareth Campesinos, will come out in November.
In today’s blog post, Gareth gives a rundown of exactly where they are in the record making process (finishing mixing, about to start mastering) and a really good explanation of everything that goes into making a record (tracklisting, artwork, pre-order bundles, practicing the songs for shows, sequencing, etc.). But, the juiciest tidbit comes at the end, when Gareth reveals “comewhat November (which is when the album’ll be released, and when we’ll be playing some proper (ie, non-festival) gigs),” giving a timeframe of when to expect the much anticipated album.
