Starting June 3rd, Live Nation is offering a period of 24 hours where concert goers will not be charged fees. While this is nice, it can’t be helped but to think: why not just get rid of the extra fees in the first place? Beggars can’t be choosers though, and there are some stipulations to the event.

It also seems like this is specifically for Amphitheater shows only – an attempt to get more people coming to summer shows. Also something to note, the header says “No Fees Wednesdays ” – does that mean they will be continuing this every Wednesday? We’ll keep you updated.
Update: Looks like Billboard is now reporting that Live Nation plans to do this multiple times this summer. But they are ONLY for Live Nation sponsored Amphitheater shows. I love how the owner of Live Nation casually acknowledges that fees make up a third of ticket costs.
