Richard D. James is on his way back to what seems to be a full return.
The following video is from last weekend’s Aphex gig at Metz, France’s Centre Pompidou and features six minutes of new Aphex Twin material. The “Windowlicker”-esque house track should see its way onto the highly anticipated Aphex Twin album that is due out on Warp Records. Hopefully we hear more about the album soon, but Mr. James has a reputation for being enigmatic.
Aphex Twin will be playing several sets throughout Europe in the upcoming months. If you have chance to see a rare performance from the cryptic artist, I would make the most of the opportunity.
