Distorted dream poppers The Stargazer Lilies are set to release their debut album, We Are the Dreamers, on September 10th via Savannah’s Graveface Records. Having previously played in eclectic dance-pop band Soundpool, multi-instrumentalists John Cep and Kim Fields joined together with Tobacco from Black Moth Super Rainbow and drummers EJ DeCoske and Johnny Lancia to form The Stargazer Lilies. In advance of the album’s release, the band has shared the hazy, distortion-drenched title track. Combining a deep-seated love for densely layered shoegaze and shimmering dream pop, “We Are the Dreamers” takes the listener through a gauzy landscape of obscured memories and half-glimpsed revelations—replete with torrents of thickly poured percussion and walls of viscous guitar noise that would make Kevin Shields proud.
