The Chicago-based electro-pop group Psychic Twin is set to release their debut Strangers 7″ on March 5th via Polyvinyl Records. They will then head out on the road, leading up to an appearance at SXSW (check out the dates below the stream). Before either of those things happen though, the band has just released the b-side to their debut 7″. “Dream State” mixes singer Erin Fein’s hushed vocals with Brett Sanderson’s propulsive electronica and shimmering synth-rock atmospheres. Admittedly indebted to the 80’s new-wave of Fein’s youth, “Dream State” never feels beholden to any one influence and seems to flow out in bright, gossamer curlicues from the speakers. Listen to the track below.
