Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s fuzz sludge rockers Nineteen 90’s have just released their latest record, No TV No News, on Already Dead Tapes–and along with it, their latest single, the clanging, noise-drenched “Zombie Apology (Dan Wolff Is Dead).” Tearing through the track with a feral punk ferocity, which comes courtesy of the band’s DIY lo-fi aesthetic, shreds of wiry guitar and pummeling percussion intersect with heavily echo’d vocals and a curiously hummable melody. Buried beneath all the pedal effects and reverb overload, “Zombie Apology” is a blitzed-out pop song and a damn fine one at that. Head over to Already Dead’s site to grab a copy. It’s a limited edition cassette run, so you those 50 copies won’t last long. Listen to “Zombie Apology (Dan Wolff Is Dead)” below.
