Daniel Benjamin and Maddy Wilde, the duo behind shoegaze outfit Moon King, have long held relationships with many like-minded bands–such as Grimes, Austra, and Doldrums–but they come at their music from a slightly different perspective. Focusing on influences from dream pop icons Cocteau Twins and dark jangle titans The Jesus and Mary Chain, Moon King layer complex melodies beneath waves of distortion and fuzzed-out guitar.
