Although it’s been a crazy trip for New York rapper El-P since his last proper album I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead in 2007, devoted fans won’t have to wait much longer for a new record. But more important than Cancer for Cure, forthcoming on Fat Possum, is the fact that El-P’s DJ and longtime friend DJ Dibbs is battling a deadly liver disease. Proceeds from the sale of this new remixed track “Rush Over Bklyn” will go to the fund set up for Dibbs, which you can also donate to here. “Rush Over Bklyn” is a remix of this year’s “Drones Over Bklyn,” sampling, you guessed it, Rush. Both this new mix and the original are great, but since “Rush Over Bklyn” supports a good cause, don’t be shy to pick this up. Stream below:
