Speed demons Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. are prepping their debut album for Quite Scientific, tentatively dated for June 7th, entitled It’s a Corporate World. The band is currently on the road supporting their new material and I had the pleasure of catching them last night, and while I was certainly skeptical of a band with only four songs to their name playing a 45 minute set, Dale Jr. Jr. absolutely rocked. And this afternoon we have a brand new cut from It’s a Corporate World, “Morning Thought.” The band’s sound has been elevated to new extremes on the track, though the crisp pop of Horse Power EP has not been lost. The drums sound massive, the tambourines shack in rhythm, and the duo’s harmonies are as gorgeous as ever. “Morning Thought” has us more excited than ever for their debut, and Dale Jr. Jr.’s more developed sound is seriously impressive.
