We recently heard the newest festival-ready single from Coldplay called “Every Teardop is a Waterfall,” then we got the first b-side from it, the quite different and very promising “Major Minus.” Now we have “Moving To Mars” which moves back more towards Coldplay’s usual territory: a piano ballad that builds into something bigger and more anthemic. The song is very reminiscent of David Bowie, particularly “Space Oddity” and “Life On Mars,” which were likely big influences, and that is in no way a bad thing.
Listen to “Moving To Mars” below.
The Every Teardrop is a Waterfall EP is released today, and hopefully news of an album should be forthcoming.
