Listen: Cass McCombs – “If You Loved Me Before…”

Cass Mccombs

Cass McCombs has been relatively quiet since the release of his 2011 album Humor Risk, but here’s a one-off song from him, recorded as part of the charity single series, Less Artists More Condos. The tracks, titled “If You Loved Me Before…,” is a bleak, low-key electric guitar number where McCombs sounds starker than usual, like he’s on edge almost. It’s also part of a split single with White Magic, whose song “Out Beyond The Moon” you can also listen to below. All of the digital proceeds going to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music – a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America’s public schools.
