UPDATE: Apparently the new album is called Round IV and that above is the cover art. Seems motorcycles are all the rage amongst the pop elite right now, eh?
Since the release of Beyonce’s 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce Rihanna has encroached on her territory, Lady GaGa has blown up and Britney has made a comeback (or two? I can’t keep track). However, “Single Ladies” is still ubiquitous on radio stations and in clubs the world over.
Thankfully this summer Beyonce is returning to hopefully deliver a new set of songs that will replace “Single Ladies” as her new smash hit. With the first taste of the as-yet-unnamed album, “Girls (Who Run The World),” Beyonce is continuing to push the female empowerment angle that’s made her one of the most powerful voices in the music industry. This time she’s taken Major Lazer’s beat from “Pon De Floor” to help her do it too.
