It’s less than a month to go now until Arctic Monkeys release their fourth album Suck It And See, and it’s around this time that tracks start to slowly creep out of their bunker and find their way on to the internet. “Reckless Serenade” has done just that, and is more chilled out than the songs we’ve already heard from the album, “Brick By Brick” and “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair.”
“Reckless Serenade” finds Turner doing what he does best; painting vivid characters with nice metaphors, for example “when she walks her footsteps sing a reckless serenade” and “twinkling vixens with shining spiral eyes” whose “hypnosis goes unnoticed when she’s walking by.” Listen below.
