Following an appearance at Jay’s show with Coldplay in Las Vegas, Kanye West showed up at Jay-Z’s star-studded New Year’s Eve after-party. At the party, the duo performed “Runaway” and “Monster” off of Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. At the end of “Monster,” champagne in hand, Kanye made a breaking a stunning announcement, “We got that new, Watch The Throne, comin’ in one week.”
And I thought it’d be a miracle if we saw this thing by March.
Watch The Throne is collaborative EP-turned-LP between the duo initially said to be due out Q1 of 2011. The album is rumored to feature production from Pete Rock, Q-Tip, Madlib, and others.
