If your fancy is dance music, there are endless amounts of blogs, radio shows, and mixes to satisfy your urge to cut a rug. But not all of these outlets are created equal. One of the sites I’ve stood by for years now is Cool in the Pool, part new-release outlet and also home to exclusive radio mixes.
And now they have teamed up with long-running label !K7 to start a new album mix series called Songs for Endless Cities. August 31st marks the first release in this series, which is aiming to “focus on the new generation of DJs and producers who have a fresh and individual take on the ever evolving electronic scene.”
And London youngster Brackles will be the first DJ for this new project, displaying a taste for both the mainstream – Flying Lotus, Zomby – and for the budding artists in the field such as Funkineven and Breach. The mix also features an exclusive new Brackles track entitled “Blo”.
