In 2010, Julian Lynch burst into many of our consciousnesses with Mare, the critically acclaimed, second label-released LP from the Madison based singer-songwriter. For others, Lynch has been a pleasure for sometime, whether it was his self-released CD-R’s or 2009 debut Orange You Glad that got their attention. But still, there might be some that go “who?” when Julian Lynch’s name is mentioned. This spring, Lynch will be aiming to change all that.
Terra, Lynch’s third LP and first for Underwater Peoples Records, has a track listing (below) and album art (above), though no exact release date. How the man manages to make albums while enrolled in a joint PhD program in Ethnomusicology and Anthropology is beyond me, and how his music is so good considering all this is flat-out miraculous. My money is on Terra delivering.
