When we included Jens Lekman in our most anticipated releases for the remainder of 2011, we were hoping for a full length. But, an EP from the Swedish songwriter is still enough to get us pretty damn excited. Add to that a tour, and we have a reason to look forward to this fall.
An Argument With Myself EP is a five-song collection that Lekman calls “a taste of what is not to come,” indicating more material in the future and a possible left field sound for the record. We have the tracklist below, which notably does not feature the previously shared “Cowboy Boots.” Look for the EP on September 20th via Secretly Canadian.
On top of that news in a small tour, in which Mr. Lekman will visit a cemetery in Los Angeles, a synagogue in Washington D.C., and an armory in Boston. Check out the tourdates below, and check out this interview for some pretty great insight into the new EP and news that the full-length may still be a little ways off.
