When James Blake released “Fall Creek Boys Choir,” his collaboration with Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon, just last week, the description under the video on his YouTube account featured an anonymous date and the words “Enough Thunder.” Today, shining more light on that notation, Blake announced a brand new EP.
Enough Thunder will be released on October 10 via Atlas and will feature Blake’s tag team effort with Bon Iver, as well as a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You” and four new songs. Though an official tracklist is not yet available, it stands to reason that the EP draws its name from one of its tracks; back in May, Blake debuted a song called “Enough Thunder” live and referred to it as “a work in progress.”
