Little about experimental-punk duo Hella is traditional. So, news the the Sacramento band has a new album coming out in August, their first in four years, but that neither the album nor the songs have titles, shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Still mildly surprising, though, is the fact that they have gone ahead and released the first track, which we will call “Track 1,” from the untitled album. That is crazy by even Hella’s standards.
Hella is also inviting people to create their own videos/visuals for the new song and post them to YouTube and asking them to then share the links on Hella’s Facebook page. As for their new Sergent House album, their press release says “further details about the new recording will be released when they’re good and ready.” That sounds about right.
