There’s been a little chaos recently in the Grizzly Bear camp. They’ve just finished mastering album and fans have been eagerly waiting for new information via Edward Droste’s twitter profile.
Recently, blogger JP put up a post with the full tracklisting and title of album, but later pulled it down after a request from Droste himself. Apparently he found it online, presumable through some record database.
Now Stereogum has picked up the story, and has posted the false info.
We then contacted Grizzly Bear artist, Ben Tousley, for confirmation. Here’s what he said:
UPDATE: Full email pulled due to request. But we are allowed to say that the tracklisting is false, and that the release date will be May 26th. The rest of the information of the album will be revealed soon.
